Someday I will be able to blog without apologizing for how long it has been since I last blogged. Someday. I know it will happen. Yes.... I can
feel it. I can close my eyes and picture a sunny meadow with bunnies bounding around. I'm sipping lemonade and happily blogging away. Every day.
Until then, my apologies, regrets, & etc. etc...
I had this incredibly clever plan to blog one wedding a week during the off season until the new wedding season started. Except that we just had our first wedding and that never happened.
So here it is- our first wedding of the season.
There are three main ways that we connect with clients: word of mouth, internet, and referrals from past clients. This accounts for about 90% of our business. So I can safely say that I have never done a wedding before where I met the Bride in the manner that I met this Bride, and so I feel compelled to share it:
The Bride's dog is friend with my Dad's dog.
Yup, that's it. That's the connection. The two families are neighbors, and the two dogs {Snood and Baby} have a playdate every Saturday. So it was that the love of Baby and Snood allowed us to participate in the love and wedding of Rocky and Austin. Best way to meet a client ever.
Rocky and Austin got married on March 13th at
Rancho Las Lomas. If you haven't been to the Rancho, it's a pretty amazing place - a rustic ranch set in a gorgeous wild hilly landscape. And oh yes - the Rancho is home to zebras. And a tiger. And parrots. Really.
The decor and theme was sort of glamazon meets tomboy, and most importantly, it absolutely perfectly captured the spirit of the couple. I love when that happens.

How cute is this flowergirl? She had a black satin basket with a rhinestone buckle on it.

I defy you to not smile at this picture. Go on, try - you can't do it.
